3D moss-filled letters
Fabricated letter trays give each character a crisp edge and real depth, then preserved moss is set into the face by hand in our studio. Returns can be black, white, metal-effect or brand-coloured so the lettering reads clearly against your wall.

- Company names, short words and bold logos that need texture and presence.
- Our suggestion
- Choose bold letter shapes. Very thin strokes lose the moss texture — we review your artwork and suggest a minimum stroke width before production.
Construction & specification notes
- Tray depth and return colour are agreed with a sample.
- Reindeer (flat-textured) and ball moss give different finishes.
- Fixed with concealed locators or studs to suit the wall.

Reindeer, ball and bun moss behave differently. Approve physical samples in your real light. Preserved moss needs suitable indoor conditions: no watering or misting, direct heat or strong sunlight. Exact-material fire and acoustic documentation is checked where required.

01Is preserved moss alive?
Preserved moss is natural moss that has been treated to keep its appearance. It is not a living wall, does not grow and needs no soil or irrigation.
02Does it need watering or maintenance?
No watering. Avoid touching or misting the face, keep it away from direct heat and follow the care guidance we provide at handover.
03Can moss signs be illuminated?
Yes. Moss-filled letters can be halo-lit from behind. Warm white light keeps the greens natural. The moss face itself is not lit through.
04Can moss signs go outside?
Preserved moss is for suitable indoor spaces. For exposed outdoor locations ask about UV-stable faux foliage and weather-rated construction.
05Can you use moss for wayfinding and door signs?
Yes — toilet symbols, room names and arrows can be moss-filled. Where accessibility rules apply we pair them with tactile or high-contrast text.
06Can you match our logo?
Send vector artwork. Bold shapes work best; fine details can be kept crisp with raised acrylic or metal elements on top of the moss.
07Which moss types can we choose?
Flat reindeer moss, ball moss and bun moss in a range of greens. We send physical samples so you can compare colour and texture.
08Does it improve acoustics or meet fire requirements?
Do not assume either from appearance. If your project needs acoustic or fire performance, we request documentation for the exact material and assembly.
09Do you install?
Yes, we can survey and install. Fixings are chosen for your wall type. Mains connection for illuminated signs is by your qualified electrician.
10What do you need for a quote?
Your logo, approximate size, a photo of the wall, whether you need lighting, your location and target date.
